Açaí White Tea from Two Leaves and a Bud
- Type Of leaves: White Tea
- Name Of Tea: Açaí White Tea
- Available From: Two Leaves and a Bud
The Tea Guru
Because of the addition of the Açaí berry to white tea, which is already filled with antioxidants, you get a delicious health-boost from this tasty tea as well! This tea is perfect almost any time of day – I think it’s best served hot as it would make a pretty weak iced tea. However I will say this is one of the best white teas I’ve had the pleasure of tasting!

I have found a new favorite white tea. So smooth with a light berry taste that lingers for a bit after each sip. Before and after brewing, the floral aroma is apparent.

I really didn’t think that I would fall in love with this tool the way I have! I can’t begin to tell you how awesome it really is. If you are a fan of the coffeehouse chai lattes and yearn for a less expensive (and more convenient) way to enjoy them at home – this is IT!

A tea that is just as pleasant to watch brew as it is to drink! Brew this tea and you’ll see why it’s called African sunset. Not only does it look pretty, it is also a very delicious and refreshing tea to drink! While not as a sweet as many Rooibos I’ve had, it still has a slight sweetness with citrus overtones. Very delicious!

The citrus aroma of this tisane is very inviting, and reminds me of my grandmother’s back yard, where grew two orange trees and a very prolific lemon tree. In the late summer and early autumn, a gentle breeze would deliver the fragrance of citrus, and my taste buds would respond… much the same way my taste buds respond to the flavor and scent of this tea!

Typically, with an unsweetened berry tea the taste is usually slightly tart or sour enough to make your taste buds water. But not so with this tea! The berry flavor was strong, but it was never too sharp. I think the rose hips and other flavors must have set off the tartness nicely. And the scent of the brewed tea had a strong fresh apple and raspberry smell.

I was surprised to find that there were blackberry leaves in this tea. The berry flavor is very fresh tasting – not fake or syrupy. I think it’s the leaves that give it the field fresh taste. I havedefinitely found a tea that will be a staple for us this summer!

The raspberry is especially discernible in this blend. The tea is sweet and very rich tasting, much like the insides of a freshly baked berry cobbler!

It’s a thousand times better tasting than a chalky liquid heartburn remedy or that well-known brand that has a bright pink color to match the thick pink nauseatingly minty flavor. This tea not only tastes better, but I feel it is overall more effective using 100% natural ingredients.

The Darjeeling from Two Leaves and a Bud is an organic first flush with a light copper liquor. The taste is slightly tannic, but not overly bitter with a clean astringency, while the aroma is slightly floral. The pungent nature of the tea is characteristic of the brisk first flushes.

It doesn’t taste perfume-y (some Earl Grey teas do, but this one doesn’t), and it doesn’t taste entirely of fruit… it has an interesting contrast of fruit and flower and it is very pleasant.

The slight tanginess the bergamot lends to this blend is a beautiful citrus touch which helps define this tea as “brisk”. However it isn’t so brisk that its bitter, in fact this Earl Grey retains a smooth quality which is sleek and velvety. A great “everyday” tea!

"Well, as someone who has tasted a lot of chai tea, I can attest that this really is not very similar in taste to Chai. Chai tends to focus on the spices, whereas this tea’s focus is on the orange, with the spices being very gentle and more of an accent to the orange."

"Steph: Thank you for your information about the naranquilla. I didn’t find the flavor to be very tart at all – which is what I would have expected from the combination of lime and rhubarb. Perhaps the maraschino sweetened it up a bit and made it much more peach-like. It reminded me a bit of candied apricots or peaches."
