Two Leaves and a Bud describe this tea as having a smooth velvety light floral top notes, with a hint of cream nodding at a rich fruity finish, and I think I would have to concur with that description. Truly, this is a high quality white tea, and the white tea base is what makes this tea truly delicious.
In fact even with the Acai berries blended with this tea, the silver needle white tea is the most prominent flavor. Subtle and light in true white tea fashion, the flavor notes may be difficult for the untrained palate to truly distinguish. However even the most inexperienced tea drinker can detect the crisp fresh flavor of the tea, which makes for the perfect base to blend with the refreshing light flavor of the Açaí berries, which have their own unique flavor which is somewhat tart and not very berry-like, more like a grassy, grainy flavor. However you can’t really taste the berries too much in this blend as it is an accent to the white tea…more like window-dressing for the health benefits of the Açaí berries than for the flavor profile!
Two Leaves and a Bud describes this tea as:
Special harvest long whole-leaf tea leaves and buds create this super light but full tasting white tea. Light enough in the cup to be called “white” with nutritious tropical acai berries to round out a great cuppa’! Acai berries are berries grown on special Amazonian palm trees, harvested in the rain forests of Brazil. The rich taste is a distinct combination of berry flavor and subtle chocolate. The berries are high in anti-oxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids which aid in fighting off cancer and other diseases as well as sharpen mental focus.
Ingredients:
Organic silver needle white tea, conventional acai berries, natural flavor
This tea is one of the healthiest teas I’ve had the chance to review, short of Matcha which I consider to be the epitome of healthy teas. Because of the addition of the Açaí berry to white tea, which is already filled with antioxidants, you get a delicious health-boost from this tasty tea as well! This tea is perfect almost any time of day – I think it’s best served hot as it would make a pretty weak iced tea. However I will say this is one of the best white teas I’ve had the pleasure of tasting!

"Dear Tea Guru, Hi, my name is Travis and I do some of the promotions for Tipu’s Chai. To answer your question, yes, we do use the same spices in our instant chai tea as we do in our slow brewed chai. The reason for this is the very same one that you mentioned. When you discover the perfect chai flavor, why change it? Thanks for your..."

"Hector: I agree, you do NOT need to strain their instant chai, however this is a review of their SLOW BREW chai, which does require straining as the spices are not as refined in the slow brew mix

"Tea Guru, Straining Tipu’s isn’t necessarily necessary. I leave the instant mix in and just don’t drink the settled stuff on the bottom (or sometimes I do depending on the “kick” I’m seeking). Either way, it’s a great cup of chai!"

"Dear Tea Guru, I very much appreciate your comments and am very happy you like our slow brew chai mix. I just wanted to make sure that its clear that the Assam tea is organic, but the spices are not certified organic. They are fresh and non radiated however. I hope that you continue to enjoy a good cuppa chai! regards, Bipin Patel,..."
