Irish Breakfast from Ambassador Organics

ambassador tea tins

We know what Irish Breakfast tea is supposed to taste like – full-bodied, fairly brisk, strong, and black. Yep, check, check, check, check, this is definitely Irish Breakfast! A good wake-up call for any morning.

Ambassador Organics describes this tea as:

This robust black tea blend assures a strong, eye-opening morning cup of the purest quality.

The dry leaves have just the faintest peach aroma about them; once brewed, there’s no trace of it, however. Amidst the taste of black tea, there is a very slight grassy note, until one adds a bit of sugar. If you like milk in your tea, this is a good one to add milk to – it’s strong enough to stand up to milk. To keep the eye-opening quality going, warm the milk a bit (aren’t microwave ovens wonderful?) before adding it to the tea, so that it stays hot instead of cooling off.

In addition to having a good cup of tea, when you drink this you’ll have the satisfaction of drinking organic. Ambassador says:

Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun founded Good Food Organics™ with the intention of creating a foundation for foods produced from agricultural systems that are certified USDA Organic, and, whenever possible, Certified Demeter Biodynamic and Certified Fair Trade as well. GFO is a CMBDC minority certified company.

These teas have been sourced from dedicated Biodynamic producers in communities across the globe, exemplifying agriculture that respects all aspects of the environment, from soil to human being. From sustainable model farm cooperatives to fair trade and socially just tea estates, these teas have been grown with special care.

So when you drink this tea, it will be doing good as well as tasting good.

This tea comes in whole-leaf tea bags as well as loose tea. Either way, it comes in a tin, rather than a box, so it should keep well.
