This gorgeous tea blend from Tea Forté is specially made and designed to work with Tea Forté’s signature Tea-Over-Ice iced tea brewing pitcher set. This was the first iced tea I made with my Tea-Over-Ice pitcher, and it was fabulously yummy!
With the way it is prepared, by brewing the tea and pouring over ice, I expected there might be some loss of flavor thereby essentially diluting the tea; however I was pleasantly surprised to find NO loss of flavor.
The gorgeous clear mesh pyramid sachets are specially blended for “flash chilling” over ice in this method so you have no loss of flavor or intensity. I brewed the sachet as directed and it was a beautiful iced tea flavor – very light and refreshing, perfect for iced tea!
Tea Forté describes this tea as:
Specially blended to be flash-chilled, this unusual blend of fine white tea with crisp ginger is balanced by sweet Japanese pear.
Ingredients: ginger, blackberry leaves, lemon balm leaves, white tea, mallow flowers, flavoring
The most prominent flavor is the pear flavoring, and it’s a very sweet pear flavor, with hints of citrus and earthy ginger. The ginger is soft and mild, and blends well with the other flavors without being too intense. The white tea base is absolutely lovely, high quality and complementary to the flavor profiles in the tea. If you are looking for a sweet, light, refreshing and invigorating iced tea for summertime, this is the perfect iced tea.
The sachet makes enough tea for one of their Tea-Over-Ice pitchers, which is perfect for just 2 people! As usual, Tea Forté combines aesthetic elegance with delicious and vivacious flavors that are a treat for your taste buds.
