White Ambrosia from Tea Forté

White Ambrosia from Tea ForteThis is a very light and smooth tropical flavored white tea, which has heavy overtones of vanilla and coconut.

Because it is a delicate Chinese white tea, it is brewed at a much lower temperature (approx 195 degrees) than most teas – if you brew it in too-hot water, or for too long, you will end up with a bitter brew that isn’t very palatable.

The tea is presented in Tea Forté’s unique pyramid sachet, with the signature paper tea leaf sprouting from the top.  The aroma of the dried leaves in the sachet was indeed ambrosial, easily explaining the origin of the name of the blend.  The flavor is just as beautiful, a sweet, smooth and slightly musky brew that goes exceptionally well with sweetener.  Don’t try milk with this one, it easily overwhelms the white tea.

Tea Forté describes this tea as:

Our fine white tea melds seamlessly with delectable fruits, vanilla and slices of coconut to create a cornucopia of tropical delights. Chinese white tea is combined with Sri Lankan coconut.

Steeping Guidelines: Steep for 2-4 minutes, 195°F
Ingredients:  white tea, coconut chips, safflower, flavoring

This tea has a very light tropical flavor, that complements the light flavors of the white tea perfectly. As mentioned, the vanilla and coconut are the most prominent scents, as well as the most prominent flavors.  A very sweet and soothing tea.
