Osmanthus Oolong from Naivetea

Osmanthus Oolong from NaiveteaA delicious and fragrant Oolong tea which combines high quality lightly oxidized Oolong tea leaves with dried Osmanthus flowers to create a tea blend of eloquence and beauty.  If you enjoy soft floral blends that aren’t too heavy, this would be a good tea for you.

With a soft velvety flavor that is slightly floral with a sweet buttery touch, this tea manages to accent the tea leaves with the ambrosial Osmanthus flowers without overwhelming the tea leaves, or making it a heavy and perfumy blend.

Naivetea describes this tea as:

High altitude oolong infused with osmanthus. Intense osmanthus aroma. Light and smooth body with strong osmanthus flavor. Fragrant finish with long sweet after taste.

I drank this tea with just a touch of sweetener although it could easily be enjoyed plain.  As with most Oolong teas, it does not blend well with milk, which would easily overwhelm the flavors.

The remarkable thing about this tea is how smooth it is, without any hint of bitterness or sharpness to its taste.  Warming and yet refreshing at the same time, this is a wonderful everyday tea.  The flavors simply melt together to make a golden liquor that is balancing and restorative.
