Saphara Mango Ginger from Celestial Seasonings

Mango ginger green tea It is so healthy and my poor body is going through a tough time, so I am doing all I can for it nutritionally – including a lot of tea!

Green tea is one of the best – and ginger is know to be very good for digestion and the immune system, so when I received this Mango Ginger Green Tea in the October tea swap… it was the first one I brewed!

For those of you who know me, I am also a tropical fruit addict – passion fruit, papaya and mango being my favorites. I also love ginger!

But for many people, these flavors are often too sweet, or too fake, and ginger is too spicy. For me, green tea is often too astringent… leaving a bitter taste in my mouth.

So I am pleased to announce that Celestial Seasonings has produced a fantastic green tea under the name of Saphara – presented in lovely triangle tea bags.

This tea is NOT too sweet – with no fake fruit flavor. The ginger is very mild, and the green tea is perfect. It has a lovely tropical smell to it and brews up a pretty light golden hue.

Here is what Celestial Seasonings says about this tea:

At 6,500 ft. in the Lower Himalayas lies the Indian region of Darjeeling, internationally famous for its many tea estates. Tea growers from the region developed their own distinctive hybrids of the tea plant, and Darjeeling tea is considered by many to be the finest tea available. Most teas from Darjeeling are fermented and oxidized—the process for making black tea—but there is also green tea from the region that is lighter and more delicate. Naturally decaffeinated Darjeeling green tea is blended with mango-ginger, a variety of ginger with the sweet flavor and scent of mangos, and real pieces of mango in this exotic, naturally sweet-tasting brew.

Ingredients: Organic Fair Trade Certified™ decaffeinated green tea, organic mango-ginger, organic mangos and natural flavor.

See! No wonder it’s a fantastic green tea! High quality tea is easy to spot. No need to over flavor it, or cover it with fake flavorings or too much ginger “bite”. It makes me feel healthy, and warmly comforted in the evening! I highly recommend this tea!
