Absolutely SPARKLING!! I really enjoyed this white tea from Red Leaf Tea. Lightly infused with the flavors of champagne and raspberries, which leaves just the slightest hint of tartness along with the sweet flavor of the white tea.
All of the flavors in this tea are very delicate. The fragrance of the leaves – both dried and wet – is intoxicating, with floral overtones to a unique muscatel flavored background. Almost like a white Darjeeling if you could imagine such a thing!
Red Leaf Tea describes this tea as:
Champagne Infused White Raspberry Tea.
Of all the teas, White Tea as the most delicate flavor. Lightly dried and uncured, white tea leaves accept sweetening well. We carefully suffused a light champagne into the herbs and created a new tea blend that truly melds the freshness of safflowers, red raspberry and white wine champagne, while retaining its delicate original taste. Best enjoyed as an afternoon tea, our Champagne White Raspberry Tea is a gourmet’s delight.
I loved everything about this tea, from it’s unique and lovely fragrance to it’s lightly layered flavors. This tea is best served hot without any sugar or milk as either of those would easily overwhelm this silky tea, and icing it would get rid of most of the flavor tones because it IS a very lightly flavored tea. I truly enjoy this one though, especially with a good book and a hot bubble bath!
