This tea grabbed my attention from the very start. It looks and smells so very distinct that I would say this is a one of a kind tea. As I’ve mentioned in previous reviews, normally speaking, I am not a fan of red rooibos blends. This is one of the very few red rooibos blends I’ve brewed and tasted and truly enjoyed.
Although I feel the red rooibos leaves a distinct flavor no matter what the blend, it seemed to seamlessly fit with the other ingredients so as not to be distasteful even to my own palate. The absolutely huge chunks of coconut slices smell delicious amongst the ginger, apple and almond pieces. The cinnamon is a whisper in the back ground, but it really makes a difference in the overall flavor.
Tea For All Reasons describes this tea as:
One look at this Rooibos tea and you’ll want to eat it! It is loaded with wonderful ingredients that include coconut slices, ginger, apple and almond bits, along with cinnamon. These delectable components are blended to create a heavenly combination waiting to be enjoyed on a cold wintry day.
This tea, as the name might indicate, is best served piping hot on a chilly day. It goes fabulously with or without sweetener or milk. Serve however you would normally take your tea and I’m sure you’ll be pleased. I’ve never run across flavor components exactly like these, and it is quite warming and soothing, with a nice balance between the sweet and the spice. I really enjoyed this winter tea!
