This strawberry flavored green tea from Frontier Co-op is a lot different than most strawberry green teas I’ve sampled. Perhaps it’s the addition of hibiscus, but to me it’s a slightly different strawberry flavor than you might expect. The strawberry is sweet and just slightly tart at the same time.
There really isn’t much of an aroma to speak of, with the dried or brewed leaves, however the flavor is quite strong, and the hibiscus quite distinctive. The taste is smooth and tangy at the same time.
Frontier Co-op describes this tea as:
Vegetal green tea flavor, with nuances of fresh, sweet strawberry. Pretty pink infusion.
Ingredients: Organic green tea, organic strawberries, organic hibiscus, natural strawberry flavor.
Caffeine: Contains Caffeine
Organic: QAI Certified Organic
This tea does indeed brew up into a pretty pink infusion, also due to the hibiscus. I drank this tea with no milk (this is NOT a tea that goes with milk) and just a little bit of sugar. But the sugar seemed to make it a bit too sweet, so I think this tea is also quite delicious when served plain. Would also make a great iced tea in the summer.
