Christmas Memories from Tea For All Reasons

Christmas MemoriesWhat a great name for this tea.  The aroma of cinnamon, cloves and especially apple and orange certainly do evoke memories of the holiday season.   Every year on Christmas morning, I would find a bright red apple and big, juicy orange stuffed into my stocking amid other delicious treats (including almonds — which is also in this blend!) and little gifts.  It’s a tradition and very fond Christmas memory that I have continued now that I have children.

And what a delicious rooibos blend this is!  The flavor is vibrant and bright.  The most prominent flavor is the cinnamon, which is just slightly spicy and offers a pleasant contrast to the naturally sweet rooibos.  The apple and orange is soft, yet their sweet flavors are distinct.  I think that if their presence here were stronger, it would make the tea just a little too much on the sweet side.  As it is, it’s a very pleasant balance of all these holiday flavors.

Tea For All Reasons describes this tea as

A delicious blend of Rooibos, with the additions of cinnamon, orange peels, apple bits, currants, cloves and almond flakes. It says, “I’ll be home for Christmas!”

I don’t get much of the currants or the almond flakes in this blend, although I don’t know that the blend would be the same without them, and they certainly do add to the visual appeal of this rooibos tisane.

I found this tea truly enjoyable, and would make an excellent, caffeine free choice to serve to your holiday guests, or perhaps leave out for Santa in lieu of milk (I know that if I were Santa, I’d prefer tea to milk!)  Yum!
