I loves me some good strawberry tea. Mainly because the first loose leaf tea I ever tasted was when I was only 7 years old, a loose strawberry flavored black tea in the top cabinet in the kitchen that my mother had purchased on a rare occasion (mom was definitely a coffee person, and usually never drank tea!).
The memory of that first taste of sweet black strawberry tea has lingered with me throughout the decades, giving strawberry tea a very special place in my heart. So when I went to sample this strawberry tea, I had high hopes, and it wasn’t a disappointment.
Smooth, sweet and mild are all words that describe this tea. It has a really lovely light and mellow Ceylon black tea base which marries the strawberry flavor so well.
St. Dalfour describes this tea as:
* Deluxe Tea * Organic * Hermetically Sealed in Foil Envelopes
Certified, pure organic Ceylon tea. Selected and blended under the direction of the tea experts of St. Dalfour France. Enhanced by the all natural flavor of strawberry.
St. Dalfour Organic Tea
The St. Dalfour tea experts have searched the best tea producing areas in the world which are located in the Himalayas of India and the high ground of Ceylon. After careful screening, they have selected special pristine tea gardens where no preservatives or chemicals are used. In these gardens master planters nurture tea bushes with natural organic biomass and loving care. Only these tea gardens are used for St. Dalfour tea.
Since tea is made directly from tea leaves plucked on a continuous basis during harvest (and these tea leaves are not washed), it is vitally important to make certain these leaves are free of any chemicals. Be confident of having pure, wholesome tea when buying St. Dalfour.
St. Dalfour Organic Tea – Healthy Packaging
1. Each tea bag is hermetically sealed in a foil envelope to preserve its fresh, natural flavor.
2. The tea bags are made with eco-friendly paper. No chemicals (which would alter the taste of the tea) touch the tea bag.
3. The tea bag is attached to the tag by a pure, sanitized string without the use of metal staples. Thus, no metallic taste is found in the tea.
4. The tea is packaged in an air controlled, immaculate chamber which prevents any impurities from affecting the taste of the tea.Supplement Facts: Organic Ceylon tea with the all natural flavor of strawberry.
This smooth tea never gets bitter, no matter how long you steep it. Usually I don’t brag much about bagged tea, but this is one of those rare exceptional bagged teas whose flavor can stand up to loose leaf teas. It’s taste is naturally sweet although a touch of sweetener made it even better for me. Milk would not work well with this tea as it is a truly light tea – superb flavor, but easily overwhelmed!

"When I was a kid, in the middle of winter, my friend Penny and I eachbought a quart of ice cream, skated to the island in the middle of our lake and ate them. Soooo good and soooo naughty. It keeps us young to be naughty sometimes. I would just go for it an enjoy!"

"Well, as someone who has tasted a lot of chai tea, I can attest that this really is not very similar in taste to Chai. Chai tends to focus on the spices, whereas this tea’s focus is on the orange, with the spices being very gentle and more of an accent to the orange."

"How fun! I love drinking tea so I love that you have a whole blog related to reviewing them. One brand that I really love that I don’t see on your list is the Portsmouth Tea Company. When I lived in Boston I used to buy lots of their teas and they were oh so unique. They had some really great fruity and floral blends. It’s interesting that..."

"Haha!! My co-worker told me that she purchased this tea after having purchased the Matcha Latte at Seattle’s Best, and her and another co-worker purchased this because they believed it was what was served there. She stated to me today that “it didn’t seem the same exactly…it felt like their was something..."

"I’m not absolutely certain, but I believe that this is the concentrate that Seattle’s Best coffee shops use to make their matcha latte. The lattes I’ve enjoyed there were sweet with a definite melon flavor… and I have noticed that they sell other Tazo teas there. If it IS the concentrate that they use… I am..."

"Steph: Thank you for your information about the naranquilla. I didn’t find the flavor to be very tart at all – which is what I would have expected from the combination of lime and rhubarb. Perhaps the maraschino sweetened it up a bit and made it much more peach-like. It reminded me a bit of candied apricots or peaches."
