Ti Kuan Yin from Always Summer Herbs

Ti Kuan Yin - Fragrance of Summer Tea from Always Summer HerbsAlways Summer Herbs is from Slippery Rock, PA, and in the past I have tried some of their teas and have been very pleased.  One of my favorites was the Ti Kuan Yin – Fragrance of Summer.  I first bought this at The Warren County Fairgrounds in Pittsfield, PA, a while back when Always Summer Herbs was a vendor there.  Super nice guy!  Anyhow…This tea is great iced or hot!

It’s light in color and the aroma is very much like the Fragrance of Summer!  It’s floral with a hint of watermelon.  It’s NOT Bitter – it’s very refreshing and relaxing.  It’s good for mulitple infusions.  It’s also easy to pair with different kinds of food.

Always Summer Herbs describes this tea as:

Ingredients: A gently rumpled green tea that just started to journey towards an Oolong.
Origin: China
Taste: If you like the complexity of the classic Ti Kuan Yin, you will be blown away when you taste this one! It is hard to believe that you are not drinking a flower infused tea- But it really taste that sweet all by itself. A strong orchid flavor with a sweet honey undertone. Good for several infusions.

I certainly miss this tea from my stash and hope to order from Always Summer Herbs again very soon…hopefully I will get to try many more of their blends in the near future!
