Within the last month or so I received this tea from a tea swappin’ friend of mine, Mandy. Believe it or not, it was the first tea I have ever tried from Mighty Leaf. Since then, I have tried a few others.
This tea is a wonderful rarity because the name Orange Dulce makes me think pure orange black tea but it’s very different because it’s floral and sweet, too… it’s not overly orange nor is it a bold black tea flavor. It seems to be a nice happy medium of everything! One thing I have noticed is that Mighty Leaf is a little pricey for a bagged tea. I do like the variety packs because you can try more for that price but I wish they had more variety packs to choose from. I also wish that it was available more in my local or regional area. I did find one place but it’s a 45 minute drive.
Mighty Leaf describes this tea as:
Orange Dulce black tea is a luscious, rich brew teeming with notes of orange, vanilla and jasmine blossoms. Made with Ceylon and China black teas, Orange Dulce brews up a fragrant and full bodied dark tea. Reminiscent of an aged Port, the flavor is sure to please.
I am interested in tasting more from Mighty Leaf but don’t know how often I would purchase it based on local or regional availability and price – especially for a bagged tea. There are some teas from Mighty Leaf that I like and others that I certainly do not like, but to each his own, eh!?

This is probably my favorite Mighty Leaf blend.
The Whole Foods markets in my area carry Mighty Leaf, and you can also order from them online.

A friend of mine sent me my first few and then I found a variety/sample pack at Wegmans!
