This is one of the most pleasant fruit tisanes I’ve ever tasted. It is sweet and flavorful, just like the real fruits for which this tea is named.
The pomegranate takes center stage here, it is sweet with just a slight tartness that settles on the tongue, much like if you had popped a pomegranate aril in your mouth and let the juice wash over your palate.
The apple is the mild, silent partner of this tisane. While I can detect a certain mellow sweetness from the apple, it is not strong — more of like a background note compared to the essence of the pomegranate.
Not that I’m complaining. Pomegranate is one of my favorite fruits and it is not always easy to find a tea blend that portrays pomegranate as well as Tea Forté has done in this tisane.
Tea Forté describes this tea as
Juicy apple and tart pomegranate bring a touch of fall to this ruby red rosehip and hibiscus tea. Available in the gift option of our Winter Solstice Gift Set.
Ingredients: apple, rosehips, hibiscus, orange peel, sunflower petals, safflower, flavoring
Although this tisane contains hibiscus, you can’t really tell it from the flavor. Where it really seems to reveal itself is in the liquor, providing a slightly thicker, slightly syrupy mouthfeel.
When I said that this is one of the best fruit tisanes I’ve ever tasted, I meant it. So if anyone from Tea Forté is reading this, I hope they will take the hint and begin offering it outside of their Winter Solstice Gift Set, which is quite nice and would make a lovely gift, but I’d really like to be able to purchase tea regularly. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Mmm. That sounds good, right there.
I got some Pomegranate white a while back from 52 Teas and it was pretty bomb, I’ll have to look out for this one!
And, I’ve never used/shopped at Tea Forte’ before, thanks for the tip!
Tootles!
