I’m going to have to be honest, the sample of this particular tea that I got didn’t look nearly as good as it’s photo as shown on their site (and in this post) – it had a lot of pretty much pulvarized leaves in it, and from the looks of it, there weren’t many whole tea leaves in it (e.g. it looked like mostly powder with a little bit of leaves here and there) – so perhaps it got a little crushed in the mail before it got it here…
Luckily, when I brewed up a cup, the fragrance and flavor were much, much better than the appearance of the tea!
Like all Tropical Tea Company teas that I have tried thusfar, the aroma of this tea is absolutely outstanding. Even before it’s brewed, it smells so heavenly, with lush sweet peach fruity overtones and a crisp green tea fragrance! And the taste was really pleasing as well. A light, grassy sencha gives this tea some wonderful green notes that are surprisingly mellow for a sencha! The mellow sencha matches perfectly with the peachy flavor notes in this brew, and the jasmine flowers give this a light sweet floral aftertaste.
Tropical Tea Company describes this tea as:
This is a best seller here at Tropical Tea Co. A refreshing and light cup of tea. This is great as a hot or iced tea. This is a Japanese Sencha Style base green tea from the Hunan Region. It was grown 2500 feet above sea level and was pan fired. The cup characteristics are of a lush peach note with sweet overtones. Superb green tea dotted with jasmine petals comes alive with one of the world’s favorite flavors. The ingredients include Luxury Sencha Green Tea, Jasmine blossoms, and Natural flavors.
If you are looking for a great peach green tea, this is the one to try! I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of the tea after being brave enough to brew it up. This would even make a superb iced tea in the summer.

"I am a tea drinker and this cocoa shell tea has been a bit of a revelation for me. I was looking for an alternative, change of pace source of caffeine for my weekends and this fits the bill. One tablespoon brewed for 10 minutes provides a subtle chocolate taste with about the same level of caffeine as green tea, which is perfect for me. I am trying to..."
