I am SO EXCITED about this tea – another tea that is using GREEN rooibos instead of the better known red rooibos. Red rooibos, to me has too much of a sickly sweet flavor. But green rooibos…well green rooibos tickles my fancy. And this particular herbal blend, in using green rooibos as a base has went above and beyond what I would consider “a good rooibos”
Now since green rooibos is a bit more tart, a bit more grassy, than it’s red cousin, and since lime is naturally tart, and since lemongrass, lemon myrtle and so on are ALSO very sharp and snappy flavors, do not go into this one anticipating a sweet mellow tea. This brew has a bite, but it’s delicious and incredibly refreshing!

As I was saying, I love the crispness in the green rooibos, and I am also a huge fan of Ginger, which is of such high quality in this blend that you pick up on a natural pungent ginger flavor immediately. The lime and tangerine are the stars in this show however, making this tea at once tropical and tempting. In fact, all of the flavors in this tea blend together so well that it makes this tea a seamless recipe for rooibos perfection.
