Instant Black Chai from Tipu’s Chai

Instant Black Chai from Tipu’s ChaiMasala chai is a unique flavor experience.  It is sweet, spicy, and smooth all at the same time. I usually make my chai from scratch by boiling the tea with milk, sugar and spices, and I was dubious to try an instant blend. But wow, am I glad I gave it a try!

As soon as I opened the package, I was hit with the delicious aroma of gingersnap cookies. I smelled ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and cloves. Incredibly warm and comforting. I was so pleased that I ran to brew a cup. I added a teaspoon of the mixture to a cup of hot milk, stirred, and smelled chai perfection.

The flavor was exactly what I look for in masala chai. Spicy, with a lingering ginger and pepper hum. The spices work in harmony, and one doesn’t dominate the cup.  It’s amazing to me that this instant chai tastes as if I brewed it from scratch!

Tipu’s Chai describes this tea as:

Our 95% soluble microground chai tea is made with no chemicals, sweeteners, or milk products added. It is simply and deliciously pure tea and spices. Add a level teaspoon to hot milk for a great chai latte or to hot water and milk for a more traditional taste. Sweeten to your pleasure.

This tea is perfect for any time of day and can be prepared at home, in the office, or even while travelling. The spices will perk you up, and give you something to pause and reflect on.  It has an authentic masala chai taste that is surprising in an instant tea form. I love this tea!

    Thanks Sara!
I really appreciate your review. It took many hours of testing and hundreds of cups of chai samples before we settled on this blend. I have tried to keep it tasting like my grandmother used to make. We want to be able to provide truly authentic Indian chai that is bold and spicy!

    best wishes,
