Don’t be fooled by the title of this tea. It is much more of a floral tea than a fruity tea. Though the orange blossom does carry a bit of the orange flavor with it, this lovely white tea is enhanced by the heady fragrance of the orange blossom.
White tea is tricky and can easily be over-brewed. But if you follow the instructions on the tin, you’ll end up with a lovely gentle cup of tea. The flavor is so soft, you feel as if the sun has come out and you’re walking through the orange groves. The white tea is gentle and so healthy, you’re easily tempted into making a second cup!
The Republic of Tea describes it this way:
Highly scented orange blossoms are full of essential oils and are traditionally used as adornments in wedding ceremonies. The blossoms impart an invigorating citrus note to this supreme White Tea, creating the ultimate cup.
This is the perfect tea for me in the late winter and early spring. It’s warm and gentle and reminds me of a walk out in the garden.
