Wow! What a unique tea! I purchased this tea online and didn’t really know what to expect. I had never tried a watermelon tea but thought it was definitely worth a try. I am so glad that I did.
It’s a hot summer day here in Tampa, Florida and after one sip of the tasty hot tea, I immediately brewed a fresh pot to put in the fridge to serve over ice tomorrow. The dry tea is a beautiful blend of large fruit pieces. It smells like a watermelon jolly rancher (my favorite flavor). I am sure that my son would love this tea as well, but I don’t want to share!
This is what Tea Embassy has to say about this tea.
Refreshing and fruity! This herbal fruit tea smells like watermelon bubble gum but tastes like watermelon juice! Serve it as a fancy party beverage with freshly cut watermelon in each glass. Steep for about 10 minutes in boiling water.
The flavor of the tea is like a true watermelon. I had to review the ingredients again because I was so surprised that it didn’t include watermelon (ingredients: apple bits, carrot flakes, honeydew melon cubes, flavoring, beet root and strawberry slices).
I steeped 1.5 tsp of tea in my little infuser with boiling water for 8 minutes. I added 1 tsp of German Rock Sugar, but I don’t think it was necessary.

"I am a tea drinker and this cocoa shell tea has been a bit of a revelation for me. I was looking for an alternative, change of pace source of caffeine for my weekends and this fits the bill. One tablespoon brewed for 10 minutes provides a subtle chocolate taste with about the same level of caffeine as green tea, which is perfect for me. I am trying to..."
