Red Sunset from Red Leaf Tea

Red Sunset from Red Leaf TeaI really, really like this tea.  My husband and I have spent hours trying to nail down the mysterious “natural fruit flavor” that they say in an ingredient in this tea, however to be honest we both agree that this tea tastes a lot like Turkish Delight.  Obviously some of that is from the rose petals and rose flavoring, but there is something very special about this tea, that I just can’t put my finger on… is it pomegranate? Raspberry? Lemon?  I just can’t really tell for sure!

Red Leaf Tea describes this tea as:

A rare tea from Europe, the Sunset Red Tea uses black tea as base and has a natural fruit flavor that adds a hint of sweetness to the aromatic brew. The tea has light floral notes and vitamin C because of the added rose petals.

Ingredients:

Black tea, natural fruit flavor, rose petals, safflower.

This is a very refreshing and invigorating tea, perfect to start or end your day.  The black tea base is strong and inviting, and the entire blend is very rich in flavor.   I think this tea would lose a lot of it’s subtle charm if it were served iced, so I’m going to stick to drinking it as a hot tea.  A beautiful symphony of flavor!
