Until I researched this tea for this review, I had no idea it was an herbal infusion. It was smooth, and had a full flavor, much like a light green tea with peppermint and lemon. But alas, this blend only has zesty peppermint blended with lemon peel. This sounds like a simple blend, yet it’s unbelievably tasty!
Very refreshing any time of day, this tea tastes good both served hot and iced. I enjoyed it with sugar added, but it holds its own without sweetener as well. Milk would be horrible in this one, so don’t try that.
On my second cup, I added some TrueLime from the folks over at TrueLemon.com, which is 100% crystallized lime juice and lime oil. This added a really fantastic tart citrus note that balances out the peppermint and makes an incredible “lime citrus mint” tea.
Tea Forté describes this tea as:
Cool, brilliant peppermint is complemented by sunny citrus zest. A perfectly refreshing cup that warms the body and soothes the soul. Naturally Caffeine-Free and Kosher.
Steeping Guidelines: Steep for 5 minutes, 208°F For stronger flavor, steep longer.
Ingredients: peppermint, lemon peel
Although the peppermint is the predominate flavor, you can taste the lemon flavor behind it. As mentioned above, you can add orange, lime, or lemon flavors easily to this one with TrueLemon’s line of flavors, which go exceptionally well with this tisane.
This blend comes packaged in Tea Forté’s signature pyramid tea sachets, with a paper tea leaf sprouting from the top, which makes this attractive to steep as well as being extremely tasty! This is a GREAT summer tea!

"I am a tea drinker and this cocoa shell tea has been a bit of a revelation for me. I was looking for an alternative, change of pace source of caffeine for my weekends and this fits the bill. One tablespoon brewed for 10 minutes provides a subtle chocolate taste with about the same level of caffeine as green tea, which is perfect for me. I am trying to..."
