Darjeeling Castleton from Georgia Tea Company is an excellent Darjeeling. The flavor is sweet with honey-esque tones but without the heaviness that often accompanies a honey-like sweetness in a tea. There is also a lovely fruit tone to this tea that is enhanced by the sweet essence.

Although this tea is unique as a Darjeeling Earl Grey, I feel this tea is much more of a Darjeeling with bergamot flavoring than an Earl Grey using Darjeeling tea, if such a distinction can be made.

The leaves are long and wiry, and have that lovely sweet grape-like muscatel aroma. After steeping, the liquor also has the scent of sweet muscatel, reminding me of a fragrant apple blossom. There is also a faint woodsy smell, as if I was walking through damp leaves and twigs. Upon tasting the tea, the muscatel and woodsy notes are there, but they are quieter. A faint astringency lingers. The tea becomes more thick and full bodied farther down in the cup. A delicious experience.
