Blooming Tiger White Tea from Teavana

The leaves slowly folded back, revealing a bright array of orange and white flowers that would catch anyone’s eye. The name has been given to it in honest terms, as it truly is like watching a flower bloom within a matter of minutes.

The first steep was much darker than I thought it would be – that was a pleasant surprise. The taste was a tad green-tea tasting but it also reminded me of a white tea for aftertaste.

While the tea display is quite lovely and it was fun to watch brew, I am delighted with how delicious this tea is. There is a distinctive essence of smokiness in both the scent and the flavor of the tea. There is also a delicate nutty note, and an overall rich, somewhat rustic flavor to the tea, with a pleasingly smooth undertone.

I was happy to find the flavor of this tea to be very agreeable. There is a delicate tartness from the pomegranate and the hibiscus, and a naturally fresh sweetness from the green tea. The pomegranate flavor is very satisfying and is a good representation of the fruit’s flavor.

The brewed tea smells like very strong jasmine. I was hoping that the taste would be as nice as the smell. The flavor is rich without being overpowering or “too much”.

Whether or not you like the taste of chewable vitamin C tablets, I think you will find that this is a very calming and relaxing cup. I can see why Twinings chose to make this part of their Herbal Unwind collection. It is certainly a delicious cup with which to unwind. And the fresh, fruity flavor is one that children can enjoy as well as adults.

This is one of the nicest blooming teas I’ve encountered. I like it because it not only tastes good, but, I like that the bulb opens up to reveal its blooms within the first infusion. This tea offers two flavorful infusions. The second infusion has a softer flavor, but, it is still quite enjoyable.

The green tea is delicious, not extraordinarily grassy-tasting, instead, it is a lovely, gentle flavor that perfectly complements the lavender. The lavender is sweet, yet pungent with sharp notes.

Sweet, juicy and so much like biting into a fuzzy, ripe peach – that is how I would describe the peach flavor here. The white tea, on the other hand, is light-bodied and fresh-tasting, although, it is not quite as light-bodied as a typical white tea.

This is a tasty and very interesting blend. A pleasant fruity tisane that is naturally caffeine free – and the sweet taste is one that kids would really enjoy too.

The tea has a very delicate taste to it. The jasmine is there (which I love!), but what I find most intriguing is the buttery note. It is the first thing I noticed when I took my first sip, a very smooth, sweet buttery taste that coated my mouth and imparted a soft, silky feel.
