The green tea tastes fresh and sweet, and there is just a slight hint of bitterness to it. There is also a vegetative quality (imagine that!) to it, but I wouldn’t really categorize it as a grassy note so I suspect that the vegetal flavor is more a result of the artichoke flavoring rather than the green tea.

This is definitely a green tea, which I should have guessed when I read the description that said it had a “grassy” flavor. Grassy is usually not a good thing for me. But the tea tastes just like a green tea, with a very subtle blueberry undertone. The blueberry taste is really only hinted at, but it adds a nice sweetness to the green tea. The hōjicha offers a light, toasty flavor with hints of sweet caramel. The caramel tones accent the coconut and banana tones really well, although what I’m really digging here is the way the caramel interacts with the banana specifically, it makes me think about bananas foster. I left it brewing for about 8 minutes during the first infusion, and the tea did not reveal even the slightest hint of bitterness… in fact, the longer it brews, the smoother, sweeter, and richer the flavor becomes!

I find this Jasmine Blueberry Green Tea satisfying, yet, not something I would usually pick out based on my personal tastes if I were to see it on a shelf in a store – mostly because of the jasmine…because I’m not really a Jasmine freak. Drinking this tea was most intriguing. The actual taste, was a strong green tea – a bit too bitter for me (remember – green tea isn’t my favorite) But as you sipped the tea, you also breathe in through your nose and the aroma of Jasmine filled the air! The dry leaf has a very strong aroma of fresh, sweet Jasmine flowers. There is also a slight grassy hint of green tea. After steeping, the floral taste is much more subtle, which is surprising given the scent of the dry leaf. It’s nice that the floral taste is gentle, as it lets the green tea shine through a bit. The package says to brew the tea for 5 minutes, but my brew turned out to be a little bitter this way. I’d say try for about 3 minutes for a much smoother brew.

The mandarin orange flavor is a nice pairing with the vegetative qualities of the Matcha. The orange flavor is not strong and does not overwhelm the cup. I would say it’s more of an accent flavor to the sweet Matcha. There is also an agreeable bitterness to the Matcha.

The initial flavor in the tea reminds me slightly of a black tea. I am not sure if it just my tongue playing tricks on me, because I enjoy mango iced tea. The finish remains so light and ends with a nice fruity flavor. There is no tea aftertaste, it is such a delicate green. It is 100 degrees here in Tampa, Florida and I am drinking this tea hot, but I would guess it is just as tasty over ice.

The mints blend together nicely and don’t taste too overpowering at all. In fact, I was really expecting it to taste overwhelmingly, terrifyingly minty, but it wasn’t at all. While the first ingredient is green tea, I will admit that I couldn’t taste it at all, but the lemongrass does give it a slight citrus-y flavor. I don’t know if all the beneficial health claims about green tea (or any tea, for that matter) are true; I don’t drink tea because I think it’s good for me, I drink it because it tastes good. When everything around me is going crazy, I can find a moment’s peace in a cup of tea. Those moments are treasured, and I think that is beneficial … maybe even more so than the antioxidants and other stuff! That being said, if green tea IS healthy … all the better, don’t you think? I make an audible “mmmm” with each sip! I generally like full flavored fruity teas, so this is the closest to a pure tea that I drink. The green is so mild and gentle, I do not taste the grassy undertones that I find in some greens. The Jasmine flavor is the prominent flavor in the tea.

This is an absolutely delightful jasmine tea! I highly recommend it! The green tea is smooth and fresh, with a light-to-medium-body. It has a pleasant vegetative quality that is a little on the grassy side, but isn’t so grassy that I’m unable to enjoy the tea.

The ginger is spicy, but it isn’t overwhelmingly so, and it is softened nicely by the lemongrass. This tea is quite restorative – I enjoyed a cup just after a brisk walk and found it not only soothing my mind and soul but brought a sense of overall relaxation to my body as well. I feel rejuvenated after sipping this tea.

Aha, that’s what the green tea is – gunpowder – one of my personal favorites. For a green, it is fairly strong, which is why it can stand up to the peppermint so well, with a very refreshing taste.

I find this to be most enjoyable to sip as a hot tea without any sweetener or other addition – although a thin slice of citrus fruit would be perfectly acceptable. It really doesn’t need anything though. Delicious to serve along with a meal, or just for an easy, soothing cup in the afternoon.

When I opened the package of this tea, the large chunks of papaya caught my eye. The pineapple was not as visible, and I found that the same relationship played out in the flavor. Once brewed the papaya definitely dominated the cup.I like papaya, as it happens, and it was nice to have a tropical tea that tasted mainly of the mellow papaya.
