This is a wonderful tisane. The apricot flavor is the strongest, but I can taste the distinctive flavor of pear as well as faint citrus notes.

It’s incredibly soothing, and a nice, relaxing treat on this chilly October evening. I really wish I hadn’t been so scared of this tea – and would have tried it sooner! It’s definitely one of the best chamomile tisanes I’ve tried in a while.

Blueberry Pomegranate White Tea from Art of Tea

liber-teas
liber-teas

The white tea base (white peony) is a delicate, fresh-tasting tea base. I thought it might be too delicate, at first, but everything has a good balance here. I can taste the smooth, sweet flavor of the white tea without the fruit flavors interfering.

Imagine: a freshly baked pear that’s been caramelized from the heat of the oven, and drizzled with honey. Now… imagine that flavor… in a teacup!

The flavors here are more of an accent to a very delicious, full-flavored tea that would make a delicious breakfast tea or – even better – a comforting tea to curl up to in front of the fireplace on a chilly autumn or winter afternoon.

This Pu-erh is incredibly smooth. The overall cup is somewhat earthy with nutty tones that resemble the flavor of hazelnut, savory chocolate notes and a rich coconut taste. Delicious and comforting, this is a Pu-erh that everyone can enjoy!

Congu from Art of Tea

The flavor is rich and smooth. It has a brisk character that is invigorating. The flavor is slightly fruit-like, with notes of a caramel-like sweetness in the distance. It has a wine-like quality to it as well, both with the fruit tones to the flavor, as well as the slightly dry and sweet finish.

Mandarin Silk Oolong from Art of Tea

The Tea Guru

You can taste a hint of lemon and a hint of something you can’t quite put your finger on, but boy does it taste great! The tea itself is exquisite, with a lot of flavor of it’s own to contribute to the blend. In fact this Pouchong has heavy peach notes that lend itself perfectly to the caramel notes.

This was actually quite tasty, and I find myself enjoying it more as I continue to sip it. I like it best hot, as it does have an autumnal feel to it. It is naturally caffeine free and has its own, natural sweetness. It tastes quite good straight, but adding a little honey or sugar won’t hurt it, either. Delicious!

On the first sip of this tea I tasted the earthy Pu-Erh, the chocolate, a minty coolness, and the sweet background notes. The black tea was not i n the forefront of the taste. I love how this tea is earthy and sweet at the same time. This tea has a very nice mouthfeel and the earthy flavors linger after the sip.

The white chocolate gives this tea a very rich and creamy taste. It doesn’t taste particularly like chocolate… but then, white chocolate doesn’t really taste much like chocolate to this chocoholic anyway. Don’t get me wrong, I like white chocolate just fine, but, if given a choice over white chocolate vs. milk/dark chocolate, the darker chocolate would win out almost every time.

Velvet Tea from Art of Tea

Overall, the flavor is sweet – and since it’s a “dessert tea” I guess it should be sweet, right? It reminds me a bit of the creamy flavor of the inside of a peppermint patty – although the mint is a bit more subdued here than in the confection. And as I said, I don’t taste the chocolate that is supposed to be here, and that is a disappointment. But even aside from the lack of chocolate, it is a tasty cup.
