This tea surprised me with it’s taste. Fairly bold for an inexpensive bagged tea. You can primarily taste the black tea with cinnamon first and then plum and it ends with cinnamon too. It’s not overly cinnamon but the cinnamon taste does seem to morph as you sip. And the cinnamon isn’t a candy-like cinnamon it’s a true cinnamon spice flavor but the plum cuts it down to size and it blends well.

It has a typical white tea coloring. A hint of raspberry to the nose. Delightful taste, indeed! I really like this!

The raspberry is also quite soft, but I think that it needs to be so it doesn’t overwhelm the Pai Mu Tan. As it is, it is quite a harmonious balance. Sweet and delicious.

I’m so grateful that the cinnamon and clove were softly blended within this tea and the black tea and sugar plum were more involved. It really did taste sugary even though there is NO SUGAR in this blend.

"I am a tea drinker and this cocoa shell tea has been a bit of a revelation for me. I was looking for an alternative, change of pace source of caffeine for my weekends and this fits the bill. One tablespoon brewed for 10 minutes provides a subtle chocolate taste with about the same level of caffeine as green tea, which is perfect for me. I am trying to..."
