Georgia Peach Rooibos from Kaleisia

The scent of the tea is so amazing, I want to take a bite! The tea is a pretty blend of rooibos leaves and the bright colors of the petals.

The wet leaves flatten out quite a bit and the strawberry pieces have dissolved into the tea. The scent of the wet leaves is very grassy. It is probably a tea that could be re-steeped, but I’m not a re-steeper myself. I love to blend my teas, I bet this tea would be great with another fruity green such as a blueberry!

Once brewed, the fruits look blah and lifeless, so you know all the yumminess went right into the tea! The flavor does not disappoint! The first sip tastes orangey, but leaves a smooth pineapple aftertaste. It reminds me a little of the white Life Saver candies.

I make an audible “mmmm” with each sip! I generally like full flavored fruity teas, so this is the closest to a pure tea that I drink. The green is so mild and gentle, I do not taste the grassy undertones that I find in some greens. The Jasmine flavor is the prominent flavor in the tea.

The color of the tea is a soft brown and you can smell the sweetness even in the liquid. The initial sip is a gentle and smooth white tea and the aftertaste is a light floral with an amazingly sweet raspberry. It reminds me of a sorbet.

"I am a tea drinker and this cocoa shell tea has been a bit of a revelation for me. I was looking for an alternative, change of pace source of caffeine for my weekends and this fits the bill. One tablespoon brewed for 10 minutes provides a subtle chocolate taste with about the same level of caffeine as green tea, which is perfect for me. I am trying to..."
