English Breakfast from Octavia Tea
- Type Of leaves: Black Tea

It is a very classic tea, strong, bold, but I must again emphasize smooth! I tend to prefer my breakfast tea to have some, or a lot of Ceylon blended in it, but I could drink this English Breakfast every morning!

This tea however, has the perfect amount of ginger to compliment the peach and white tea. There are small pieces of dried ginger in the tea, and just the gentlest ginger flavor, adding to the earthy freshness of the cup of tea.

I really like this deliciously different citrus spice blend. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the spicy-hot blends too, but it’s nice to come across an orange spice tea that focuses on the fruit rather than the spices, and this one does just that. Very well, too, I might add!

I feel that it is much more of a bergamot flavored lemongrass Oolong than it is a lemongrass flavored Earl Grey Oolong, although some people may say that there isn’t much of a difference between the two viewpoints.

The flavor is remarkable! The lemon essence and the bergamot are in complete harmony. Each ingredient seems to enhance the other ingredients strengths, creating a bright, sunny taste that is lemon … but also bergamot. This cup is smooth, rich and delicious!

The orange flavor is bright and sunny and manages to bring a little sunshine into this very cloudy, cold day. While the orange flavor is strong in this tea, it doesn’t overwhelm the Oolong tea.

It’s flavored “tangerine” which to me just tastes citrus-y, but nice. It too does not overpower the flavors of the tea itself.

I think the apples really lend to the great flavor the rooibos holds in this tea. It’s all quite smooth and all of the ingredients work together to present an exceptional tea from Octavia Tea.

The chocolate is perfectly enhanced by the addition of the vanilla chips. They give the chocolate an added creamy note… and make this taste a little bit like mint chocolate chip ice cream in tea form! This is one seriously delicious dessert tea!

"I am a tea drinker and this cocoa shell tea has been a bit of a revelation for me. I was looking for an alternative, change of pace source of caffeine for my weekends and this fits the bill. One tablespoon brewed for 10 minutes provides a subtle chocolate taste with about the same level of caffeine as green tea, which is perfect for me. I am trying to..."
