When I open this tea, it has a lovely gently fragrance. It brews into a soft golden tea, and the flavor is soft and not overwhelming with just the slightest undertone of a sweet summer field.

The aroma of this tea reminds me of the scent you might find in a leafy forest just after a rainstorm: Green, slightly woodsy, with a hint of floral spirits. And if you could create a flavor based on that fragrance, this tea would be the perfect representation of that flavor: sweet, delicate earthy notes, a subtle touch of floral undertones, and blissful peach-like attributes!

Drinking this tea was most intriguing. The actual taste, was a strong green tea – a bit too bitter for me (remember – green tea isn’t my favorite) But as you sipped the tea, you also breathe in through your nose and the aroma of Jasmine filled the air! So it was a real combination of sensations – one that I greatly enjoyed!

I took my first sip and thought I was in heaven! It had lovely gently fruity undertones – kind of like eating a peach right off the tree (skin and all). It was a bit earthy, but earthy in the sense of standing in an orchard – smelling the wood and leaves and the aftertaste of fresh fruit with that touch of earthy/bitter skin a fresh peach has.

Peet’s Coffee and Tea carries some of the best loose leaf blends I have found in my area of the Northwest. Pride of the Port is one of their highest quality, best tasting black tea blends. Though I often choose to drink Ceylon, this blend is an amazingly smooth, full bodied, tea with no bitterness at all.

"I am a tea drinker and this cocoa shell tea has been a bit of a revelation for me. I was looking for an alternative, change of pace source of caffeine for my weekends and this fits the bill. One tablespoon brewed for 10 minutes provides a subtle chocolate taste with about the same level of caffeine as green tea, which is perfect for me. I am trying to..."
