Assam Reserve from Teas Etc
liber-teas
This Assam Reserve is very brisk and full-bodied. When brewed correctly, it is not bitter, and has only a delicate astringency in the finish. Mostly, though, what the finish delivers is a very powerful, malty flavor for which Assam teas are well-known.

This is bold and smooth all at the same time. It’s very ‘clean’ and ‘pure’ tasting for a bold black tea with a perfect malty finish!

Mellow, smooth tasting, not extremely bold or brisk. It is a very mild, silky tea, with just a hint of astringency.

The leaves are long and slightly curled and very dark brown; the tea brews up a dark brown as well. One can steep this for as long as 5 minutes without any bitterness. The taste very much resembles a Darjeeling.

The chamomile heads and lavender buds are all large, and it’s a very attractive dried tea. The taste of this tea is pretty well balanced, perhaps a bit more toward chamomile than lavender, but with longer steeping, the lavender flavor gets stronger.

A lovely aroma, balanced between the lavender and the bergamot, in a decaf version that is a great night-time cup.

From the beautiful full leaves to the enticing aroma and smooth, satisfying flavor that is full of a honey-like smooth maltiness with a hint of a cocoa undertone, this is a golden beauty.

If I were to summarize the flavor of this tea in one word, that word would be complex. It is all at once smooth, sweet, rich, and abundant in familiar flavors.

The lemon is most prominent, with a hint of spiciness in the background with the ginger root. The fragrance of this tea is extremely uplifting as well, and I highly suspect that this an absolutely must-have tea when you have a cold or sore throat.

The mango flavor in this tea is that of a ripe, juicy mango. The coconut provides a nice smoothness to the blend and seems to curb some of the naturally tart characteristics of the mango.

You can smell the coconut and see it too! The taste of the coconut isn’t as bold as I thought it would be but that is ok! The Rooibos isn’t overly sweet due to the other ingredients!

As a green tea, this one does not present an overtly grassy profile, so it is a green tea that I would recommend to tea drinkers who are a bit hesitant to drink green tea for its earthier disposition.

The papaya in this tea is papaya leaves, rather than dried papaya fruit, so the tea is less fruity than I initially expected; it has a sharp, leafy note that goes well with the mint, and overall, the flavor is quite strong.

This is, without a doubt, the loveliest Earl Grey blend I’ve ever tasted. The ingredients are simple yet very delicious when combined.

A good strawberry aroma, with a taste that doesn’t diminish when it’s iced. Chinese Bai Mu Dan white tea is blended with strawberries, enhancing the natural sweetness of this full leaf and bud tea.

Not only is the appearance of the mug beautiful with it’s Chinese proverb and cherry blossom (and a stunning HOLOGRAM of a tree on the top of the screw-on lid that is amazing!), but the mug is also very well-made, of high quality, and is very durable.

"I am a tea drinker and this cocoa shell tea has been a bit of a revelation for me. I was looking for an alternative, change of pace source of caffeine for my weekends and this fits the bill. One tablespoon brewed for 10 minutes provides a subtle chocolate taste with about the same level of caffeine as green tea, which is perfect for me. I am trying to..."
