One of the things I like best about this blend is that since it’s just herbal, I can steep it as long as I like, to get a more intense amount of lavender. The tea makes a great bedtime tea, whether steeped mildly or longer – and it also tastes good iced!

This tea is an excellent choice to sip later in the evening, as it helps to promote a sense of calmness. From the moment you open the package and smell the lovely dried, organic blossoms of the chamomile and lavender, to the moment you savor the last, tasty drop, it is a very soothing and therapeutic experience.

The flavor is very floral, with hints of smoke. Generally, I do not care for smoky flavored teas, but with this particular tea, the distinctive taste of this tea works well with the rose flavor, as the two very diverse flavors complement each other nicely. What is very enjoyable is the scent of the tea when I hold the cup up to take a sip; it’s a truly euphoric moment!

The tea is a smooth green tea, and with the rose petals in it, there’s no need for sugar or other sweetener.

The fragrance is fresh and minty, with a lingering whisper of sage. The flavor translates perfectly from the fragrance – a clean, spearmint flavor with a hint of earthiness from the sage. I like that the sage is not overly pronounced here; there is a very palatable balance of flavors.

"I am a tea drinker and this cocoa shell tea has been a bit of a revelation for me. I was looking for an alternative, change of pace source of caffeine for my weekends and this fits the bill. One tablespoon brewed for 10 minutes provides a subtle chocolate taste with about the same level of caffeine as green tea, which is perfect for me. I am trying to..."
