Chamomile White Tea from Uncle Lee’s Tea

A very pleasant blend, soothing and gentle to both tummy and spirit. This is a teabag tea, but I cut it open to see what was inside. Both the tea and the herb were too chopped to discern differences, but there was a nice gentle scent of chamomile, which is a favorite of mine, reminding me of the chamomile my grandmother grew and dried for winter.

The tea has an incredibly soft and smooth mouth-feel that relaxes my body and mind. It is very calming. The sweetness gives my mood a nice little lift. It is a basic white tea but since the flavor is modest, it would probably be tasty added to fruit juice or other drinks. It’s a good tea to have around the office, or for travelling.

My, this is a nice tea. It is sweet and reminds me very much of flower nectar. When we were kids, we would suck nectar from tubular flowers like lilacs. It took a long time to get much, but we felt it was worth it.

A very pleasant cinnamon/lemon drink with no caffeine, a nice after dinner drink. I did not find this tasted much like English Breakfast, being neither strong, nor malty, nor any of the other words one would use to describe that morning wake up call.

This tea while delectable as a hot brew gives me the thought that it would be a very mild iced tea as well. Some teas you know would not do well as both hot or cold, this one seems versatile enough!

The flavor of the green tea is sweet and lively, with a hint of vegetal taste … not what I’d call “grassy” exactly, but, more like a hint of steamed vegetables. I’d classify this as a light-to-medium bodied tea, but it manages to possess a full flavor despite its lighter texture.

A well-done balance of green tea and jasmine. It is flowery without going over the top. It is a very nice balance of the jasmine and the green tea, where there can be an appreciation of the whole, as neither puts itself too far forward. The jasmine is not cloying or giving off too much perfume.

I found this cup to be quite pleasing. I like that it’s organic and even though I’m not particularly fond of ginseng I know that it does offer some health benefits so I do appreciate it when I find a tea with ginseng that still tastes good. This one does just that.

While I did have my doubts about this tea in the beginning, by the end of the cup, I find myself quite enjoying what I’ve tasted. It certainly wasn’t the best Oolong that I’ve consumed, but, it was, nonetheless, lovely. It would make a charming accompaniment with a meal, or any time when you want something quick and easy … but still delicious.

The tea bag had a nice sweet, berry like smell to it, but I didn’t really notice any green tea. After brewing the taste is tart, with a snappy mix of pomegranate and hibiscus. If you enjoy sour flavors like I do, this tea is a good option. While acidity dominates, a vegetal green tea essence whispers quietly. It actually adds a pleasant smoothness to the brew.

"I am a tea drinker and this cocoa shell tea has been a bit of a revelation for me. I was looking for an alternative, change of pace source of caffeine for my weekends and this fits the bill. One tablespoon brewed for 10 minutes provides a subtle chocolate taste with about the same level of caffeine as green tea, which is perfect for me. I am trying to..."
