Chai Rooibos from Yogi Tea
BunRab
The main spice in this chai is cardamom, rather than cinnamon, and one can also clearly taste the cloves. This is a must-try for cardamom fans.

This is for you folks who like your spices gentle and mild. I think this is an excellent blend, with nothing sticking out and shouting “Look at me, taste me first”. It is difficult to get so many spices and herbs to form a cohesive whole, but this is very nicely done.

My tea bag said to me: You are unlimited. That is one thing I love about Yogi teas, there is always a message on the paper tag attached to the bag.

What I find especially intriguing about this blend is the spices. Cinnamon, ginger, pepper and nutmeg give this tea a delicious, chai-like flavor, and is in a harmonious balance with the apple of this blend.

I also LOVE spices, and am very intrigued with the original discovery of cocoa and how it was served, so I was excited to try this Mayan Cocoa Spice tea!

Although the package doesn’t say “chai” on it, when the list of ingredients consists largely of traditional chai spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and cloves, it’s gotta be chai! The addition of cocoa to chai spices is one of those inventions of some anonymous genius who did it first; all I can say is, we ought to have a holiday in her honor!

This is a very delicious, richly indulgent tea. Sweet and creamy, this gem of a tea from Yogi Tea is a blend of creamy vanilla overtones against a chai-like spicy background with notes of cocoa and hazelnut.

The aroma of this tea is very chai tea-like, rich with spices that you would usually find in a chai: cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and ginger. The chicory root (as well as the creamy, chocolate notes from the carob pod) gives this tisane a very pleasant, well-rounded appeal in the absence of the tea leaf.

Chicory and carob give this as much a chocolate-like taste as a vanilla one, and the traditional quartet of chai spices, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and clove, give it warmth and spiciness that are great late at night.

"I am a tea drinker and this cocoa shell tea has been a bit of a revelation for me. I was looking for an alternative, change of pace source of caffeine for my weekends and this fits the bill. One tablespoon brewed for 10 minutes provides a subtle chocolate taste with about the same level of caffeine as green tea, which is perfect for me. I am trying to..."
