I’m not ready to entirely toss out the claims of echinacea being good for your immune system, because I personally use the root to support my system as needed. Even if it doesn’t do anything for immunity, I have absolutely no problem raving about the amazing flavor experience I have when drinking this beautifully formulated herbal tisane. As strange as it sounds to some folks, I love drinking teas with black pepper as an ingredient. I love the bite it makes.

This is for you folks who like your spices gentle and mild. I think this is an excellent blend, with nothing sticking out and shouting “Look at me, taste me first”. It is difficult to get so many spices and herbs to form a cohesive whole, but this is very nicely done.

Although the package doesn’t say “chai” on it, when the list of ingredients consists largely of traditional chai spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and cloves, it’s gotta be chai! The addition of cocoa to chai spices is one of those inventions of some anonymous genius who did it first; all I can say is, we ought to have a holiday in her honor!
