Forest Berry Silver Needle from 52Teas

Forest Berry Silver Needle from 52Teas Frank of 52Teas knows I have a love-hate relationship with him. When I heard about this V.I.T (Very Important Tea) that he had created, I had to nab it up ASAP.

Let me tell you it did not disappoint. When I opened the bag I knew I was in heaven!  When I measured out the tea for steeping I got a huge, big, juicy berry. This stuff is fresh! It was literally still moist!

This tea is sweet berry lust readers If I was not addicted upon first smell, or sight, I was by first sip. I imagined myself laying on a bed of white satin sheets with this tea pouring all over me, the dry leaf tea, not the steeping hot stuff. Anyway, sorry for that imagery but wow, it is THAT good.

So we have this wonderful Silver Needle White Tea base, which happens to be one of my favorite teas, then we have fresh ripe strawberries, and blackberries, and its creamy too! I swear I didn’t even touch the sugar in my sugar bowl even though prior to tasting I had for some reason brought it to the table. It’s strange, I do not normally sweeten my teas unless recommended, or unless I don’t feel they reached their full potential in the natural form but for some reason I had my sugar ready to go. I didn’t touch it, it is sweet, juicy, and perfect as is.

Here is what 52Teas says about Forest Berry Silver Needle:

Here’s another Very Important Tea. Ultra-premium Silver Needle white tea blended with freeze-dried strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. I don’t think any other blender would dare to tamper with as exquisite a white tea as this, but we’re not any other blender.

This is an extremely limited edition blend, and I have a feeling it’s going to go fast, especially at this price. Can’t wait to see your reviews of this one.

Readers, there are only 19 of these available  as of the time I am writing this so grab them while you can!

This tea is a tad more expensive than most of the tea from 52Teas but that is because of the extra special white tea base used in this one I believe. At $14.99 for one ounce or $24.99 for two ounces it is well worth the splurge! I pray this becomes one of 52Teas permanent collection! (Begging Frank).

As the tea is still hot, not too hot to drink mind you but hot, I get this tingly, sparkling sensation almost like a berry champagne! I love this! The way the tart of the raspberry plays within the sweet of the blackberry and strawberry is delightful! Its like fireworks in the mouth!

I steeped this tea for four minutes at 180 degrees and it seemed to be the magic number as the 52Teas site does lack steeping instructions unfortunately but I managed to figure it out.

As the tea cools it becomes creamier, milky almost and the berries become sweeter.

When this tea is hotter it is a beautiful sparkling berry joy and yet as it cools becomes milky and rich. I can’t decide which I like better – the beginning of the cup or the last of it but I guess I will just have to keep drinking it to find out!

My romance with this tea unfortunately can only last as long as Frank creates it and I pray Frank does not want my love affair to end! Maybe if we sweet talk him enough he will keep it around. Ladies perhaps you could send him some Forest Berry love letters! I know you will want to if you get the chance to try this tea. If you need a final push to order this tea – keep this in mind – it’s better than fine chocolate and a lot less fattening.

Wow. For some reason, I’m a bit red around the ears after reading this. As George Takei would say, “Oh MY!”

LOL I am happy that I was able to stir something up!
Your teas are amazing Frank – thank you for all your efforts!
